King Midas's Curse

Once upon a time, there was a powerful ruler named the king, who possessed immense wealth. He desired even more treasure. One day, he received a gift from the goddesses that anything he touched would turn to gold. At first, Midas was overjoyed. He tried out his ability by touching a flower, and it became solid gold.

He dreamed of endless riches. He came into contact with his food and they turned to shining lumps of metal. But soon, Midas discovered that his gift was a woeful affliction. He couldn't enjoy his food or drink. His loved ones turned to shining figures. Desperate, Midas sought help from the fairies to take back his gift. They listened to his pleas and lifted the curse. Midas learned a valuable lesson: that true happiness lies not in material possessions.

A King's Ransom

The stories of the castle's riches spread far and wide, attracting adventurers from distant realms. Each hoped to claim the fortune, but they all soon realized that guarding the jewels was a formidable force.
